Inside the Circle – It’s here!
Thursday, October 30th, 2008Today I released my new novel, Inside the Circle. Set two hundred and fifty years after the events chronicled in my novella, The Farthest Reaches, it follows Kai Alexei Giles, the descendant of Evan Giles, as he journeys through post-apocalyptic Polynesia to uncover more pieces of the family mystery.
The novel is inspired by my time living in the South Pacific as well as my time on the Hawaiian Island of Moloka’i. It delves into the future but also takes a page from ancient Pacific wayfinding. Wayfinding is the extraordinary ability of Polynesian sailers to navigate across thousands of miles of open ocean using the stars as their compass.
It is an exciting read, full of engaging characters, and harrowing situations. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
